DLP printing is unique because it can produce extremely fine objects. The process begins with a digital design, essentially an image or blueprint instructing the printer what to print. So, the first thing is to transfer this design through any computer into a printer. The printer then creates a wall of resin on the bottommost layer. Resin, that when light hits can go from liquid to solid form.
The digital design pops up on the special screen once the resin layer is prepared. Simultaneously, a light shines on it. The resin is hard under the light and moves liquid in the dark areas, which forms a solid layer. How the Printer Goes After that, again all these steps happen. I mean it adds another layer on top of the first one. It goes through this cycle over and over, building layer upon layer until the object is complete. Kind of like stacking a cake one layer on the top of another but with an awesome machine!
Direct light processing (DLP) is a 3D printing technique that utilizes UV or visible light to harden resin into solid objects. It starts with a digital design that is fed to the printer. When the printer cures a layer of resin on a flat surface, it displays the design on which screen so everBoundingClientRect. Next, a beam of light is directed at the resin. This light is what makes the resin solidify where it contacts and grow into a hard layer. The printer keeps laying down more layers until the object is finished.
